Come join us as we engage the coming week's scriptures. Our conversations start with sharing any joys or concerns, prayer, and discerning what the Holy Spirit is illuminating in the text for us today.

Having started as a Men's Walking group, this gathering has evolved to an in-depth theological discussion group that meets over Zoom. This group is open to anyone, regardless of gender, who wants to join in the conversation. 

Date: Two monthly meetings to help accommodate schedules. 

Second Tuesday at 7pm and the fourth Tuesday at 2pm.

The Bethany ASL class is a small group that seeks to widen our welcome by learning ASL and understanding Deaf culture and history. We blend basic ASL learning while occasionally learning to sign hymns, phrases used in worship services, and liturgical passages, such as The Lord's Prayer.

TheoEd Discussion & Lunch 

If you are familiar with TED talks, you are going to love this! TheoEd is a faith-based speaker series that brings together the leading thinkers in the church and academy to give the talk of their lives in 20 minutes or less. The speakers deliver neither sermons or traditional lectures.  Rather they offer highly polished, no notes, TED-style talks that see to spark conversations about God, religion, and the power of faith to change lives and communities.   

Dates - Sundays, Sept. 29, Oct 20, and Nov 17 immediately following worship.  We will gather for lunch and collectively watch a TheoEd talk.  A facilitator will guide conversation around the topic discussed. (Stay tuned for topics) It will be a time to share how the talk impacted or inspired you and to hear how others were touched by the talk. There will be rich, lively discussion to enrich our relationships with one another and God. Soup will be provided!  Can't wait to see you folks.
