What to Expect

What is worship like at Bethany?

Worship at Bethany is fun, reverent, joyful, and friendly. We love music of all kinds: blue grass, old hymns, world music, praise songs, and everything in between. We have a strong focus on scripture and prayer.

How do I get there? What time is it? How long does it last?

Bethany is located at the corner of N. 41st and Stevens. There is plenty of parking available in the neighborhood. Worship is at 11:00am and tends to last about an hour.

How will I know what to do?

Greeters will meet you at the door and help you find your way around. They’ll give you a bulletin that describes everything that will happen in worship that morning. And, your neighbors are bound to be friendly and willing to help.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever you’re comfortable in. Some people enjoy dressing up as a spiritual practice. Others enjoy coming in jeans and t-shirts. There’s a wide range of clothing on any given Sunday. Whatever you’re wearing will be just fine.

What do I do with my kids during worship?

Check out our Children & Youth Page for more information.

Do I need to bring money?

No. As a visitor there is no expectation that you give. You are our guest. There is an offering collected at every worship service. It provides a way for Bethany members to practice the spiritual disciplines of generosity and giving back. The money collected helps us do ministry more effectively.
