| Who we are Bethany Presbyterian Church was formally established in 1904 by the Olympia Presbytery. Prior to this we were active as a mission church school starting in the 1890's. From the very beginning we have been a congregation that seeks to serve our neighbors by pursuing tangible works of justice and by building up the common life in our city. That tradition is alive and well at Bethany today, leading us in new directions.
Bethany's Vision
Bethany is an inclusive faith community that aims to follow the example of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Using God's Holy Spirit as our guide, we strive to serve those beyond the Bethany community and are willing to take risks in initiating change as we move forward on our walk with God.
Bethany's Mission
By welcoming all people to join us for worship and fellowship, we realize we are all God's children.
We interact with God's message of love through scripture, worship, and education; and celebrate it with service, food, and fellowship.
We honor the authority and compassion of God through prayer and by caring for one another, our community, and our world.
We are called to share the love of Jesus Christ through active involvement in community mission work and by supporting social justice issues, using individual talents and gifts for the glory of God.
